WEIDA has been providing off-grid electricity to rural communities in Sarawak through the Sarawak Alternative Rural Electrification Scheme (SARES) and Sarawak Alternative Water Supply (SAWAS) initiatives, utilising solar hybrid systems with battery storage, mini-hydro, and hydrokinetic technologies. As experts in rural integrated infrastructure services, WEIDA is dedicated to delivering sustainable and reliable off-grid power solutions in remote areas.

For years, WEIDA has been actively involved in various rural projects, deepening our commitment to these communities.

We have successfully executed numerous integrated systems on a ‘Design-and-Build’ basis, supporting rural water supply, clinics, village lighting, agriculture, eco-tourism resorts, and navigation lighthouses.
